   Casa de Modesto

Casa de Modesto always strives to provide the highest level of care to Modesto. In 2019, we were voted #1 Best Senior Care Center in Stanislaus County by readers of Contentment Health and Lifestyle Magazine. Casa de Modesto, a respected registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization has served the Stanislaus community for 55 years. We were the first of its kind senior living facility in the Modesto community.

The aim of Casa de Modesto has always been to support seniors to live independently in personal living quarters that feels like your own home. The goal has always been to provide an affordable option for people to live in our community. We offer 5 levels of care for each stage of your life starting at age 62.

The home like environment was conceptualized by Fred Strohm, his wife, Ethel, and his brother, Myrle. In 1965, together with the Brethren Church community and other civic leaders ground was broken for the independent apartments. Today Casa de Modesto is non-denominational. We remain at our original location on Eldena Way just off of Norwegian Street.

Casa de Modesto has always provided the highest level of care to Modesto. We encourage residents to live independently through all stages of life. In 2019 we were voted #1 Best Senior Care Center in Stanislaus County by readers of Contentment Health and Lifestyle Magazine.

The health and safety of our residents is our top concern. Until it is safe to resume, we have suspended in person tours of the property. Please take a virtual tour instead, and contact us with any questions.

Casa de Modesto is a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit which along with community support allows us to keep our Senior Living costs affordable. We ask for your help to continue our gold standard senior residence services.

Dear Casa de Modesto Staff

My husband and I just wanted to thank all of you for taking such good care of our friends who live at Casa de Modesto. They tell us how loved they feel by you, and how great your care is, especially during this time of quarantine.

We hope you know each of of you is valued and appreciated. Wish we could give you, and our friends you take care of, a BIG HUG. Hopefully we can do that soon!

With gratitude,

Christine and Lynn Jamison
