Friday, July 21st, was potluck day for the Independent Living residents hosted by the Resident’s Council. It was a special day for new residents who were welcomed by Curt Willem, Executive Director, and introduced individually to the rest of the attending residents. Then on to the potluck and social gathering for all who joined in.
A 4th of July week celebration was held at Casa de Modesto. From the Oakdale Community Band outdoor concerts, inside concerts, Americana Luncheon, Veterans Appreciation Day, Ice Cream Social and much more! What a great week.
An Open House was held in June to give residents and employees a look at the new Physical Therapy Room. Casa de Modesto is now Medicare Certified for Rehabilitation. It has three components: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Louis Altadonna, one of Casa de Modesto’s hairstylist, has retired after 42 years of cutting residents hair. Louis started at Casa de in 1974 and retired this month. The photo shown shows how spirited and joyful Louis and his wife, Emelia, are by joining in many activities. This photo was taken during Casa de’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2015.
April, 2017 – Volunteers of the SPCA of Stanislaus stopped by to visit Casa de Modesto residents and staff on Saturday They brought their pets which were adopted through the non-profit organization. Thank you for visiting and bringing smiles to all.
